....nope, it's art! And it's all over the place in Sydney. The Biennale is on! In the Opera house, in a few museums, on Cockatoo Island, in the botanical gardens and in many other places in town. We really did our best to see them all, although we find modern art very hard to understand. A part from a few simply beautiful creations, we weren't so impressed with cryptic white canvases and disturbing masochist videos...
But it is definitely a great way to spend time, just walking and bumping into these strange installations while enjoying the clean and wide architecture of Sydney and avoiding the rain!
We have to admit that we also spent a few days doing absolutely nothing in the comfort of James and Nav's apartment...just lazying around, watching tv and cooking! How nice!!!!
So all in all we had a great time in Sydney, we also went to a concert in the Opera House, and we went looking for the Platypus in the Aquarium (he didn't come out at all, I was so so so disappointed!!! Solo non si vede...l'ornitorinco!) but a couple of dugongs were there!!! Ya wha??? Dugongs, whatever inspired the myth of the Mermaids.... also known as Manatees.
And, cherry on the top, we met up with a few friends from Ireland the day Ireland lost the rugby match, and Jens, the German guy we met in Laos and again in Cambodia! Mad!!!!
Everything is packed again... New Zealand here we come!
