Where I stayed
9 hours of people walking up and down selling all sort of stuff, from food to toys, blowing whistles and shaking rattles all the time. Poor Chip was having a real hard time, and so were we. But it was amusing all the same.
We got to see very beautiful landscapes though. Endless rice fields, lush vegetation of palm and coconut trees with mountains in the background. Beautiful!
In all this, our guide (Franz) was entertaining us with jokes and magic tricks (due to it being impossible to read with all the madness around us).
Very tired we got to Yogyakarta, taxi was waiting for us, checked into the hotel and off to explore the place.
We ended up eating fried and BBQ duck in a stall on the street, sitting on a carpet, with Franz and his "wife number 3".
Heading to the grand Palace now where apparently there's a free concert on...another late night for an even earlier start tomorrow!
