Praia do Forte is a beach resort a little north of Salvador catering to wealthy Brazilians. The beaches are similar, soft white sand fringed by palm trees and a warm blue sea. The restaurants serve lovely fish and pint sized caparinhas (strating to get a little bored of these!)

As well as focussing on our tans and getting stung by bluebottles (evil sea creatures) we went to a turtle sanctury and breeding programme. The babies were about two and a half inches long, so cute, and the larger ones were much much bigger than me. On the way out we were surprised to find they served some excellent turle-fin soup!
