Hacachina is a small and very hot oasis in the middle of the desert surrounded by gigantic dunes. The main attraction is dune buggying and sand boarding - mad rollercoaster rides over the dunes, with periodic sandboarding stops. The sandboarding itself is pretty crazy, with some steep, and very, very, very long descents. I was a natural of course!

Apart from that and lolling around the pool there was little else to do, (which suited Iain extremely well!)

Boris also made friends with some of the resident parrotts.
