Our flight was canceled this morning due to a snow storm! We are the first redeployment flight this season to have been delayed or canceled! The storm looks like it may linger into tomorrow so we are still not sure when we will be leaving. There is only one C-17 to transport people off of the ICE so this little storm has set back the last 3 flights. We are hoping to get out tomorrow, but if not they will have to do 2 flights on Thursday to catch up. Hopefully this set back will not affect our travel plans too much.
You can imagine our delight to wake up at 7:30am after a long night of good-bye parties and check the flight schedule only to find out that our flight has been canceled and we now have to go to work!
On a happy note, Michelle got to work in the greenhouse today for the first time. She enjoyed being in the warm humidity planting cucumbers and lettuce thinking of how this only could be better if it were a beach in New Zealand! Oh well, maybe tomorrow! Could someone please send some of that Florida sun a little further south?

We're looking forward to seeing you. I don't know how much TV you see down there, but there have been several spots about your land of ice lately. I was in the mall yesterday and had to stop for a news clip (and explain to the salesman that I did not need to buy a big screen- I just wanted to feel connected to you guys). We love you!
