I got back from two fantastic weeks travelling this afternoon, and will bore you all to tears about it as I update this blog, filling in what at the moment is just a pin on the map. I've had the most amazing time and even though it was utterly exhausting- we often moved on to the next place after less than 24hours- I enjoyed every minute of it. Hilights include being witness to a traditional spiritul ritual at Wli falls, where I also swam climbing a mountain (and I MEAN climbing) and star-gazing on the beach to finish it all of.

Despite the enormous crushing hug that Mrs Obiri greeted me with, it was a bit of an anti-climax to get back, and after a decent shower I was itching to get away again!I'm actually not here for long however, as I'm leaving for Cape Coast at some ungodly hour tomorrow for my next placement. (Think 'shall-I-even-bother-going-to-bed?' early!) I've learned a few sketchy details about my host family and work but nothing much more than the names, and it sounds like I'll be working in a school- I'll let you know. I'm really grateful to have something different to look forward to, and although I think it might be hard being the newbie all over again I'm excited to have a change of scene.

I'm sooo Jealous!!!
Sounds like your having a fantastic time out there, I wish I could've been near all those animals in the wild...must've been an amazing feeling and experience. Bit scary bout the crocodile though. Bet your worn out with all that walking and climbing...at least you get to laze around and watch the stars at night on the beach though.
My interview went really well and I have got my place on the PGCE course.
If you do end up in a school in the Cape Coast then do fill me in on what it's like...maybe give me a few hints on how to be a good teacher :)
Well nice to hear from you again, I look forward to your next blog.
See ya.
