Last day in Sapa. We went on a morning hike to Cat Cat village with our excellent guide Clement. His Vietnamese name is Khane. We were accompanied by Limon, an Israeli girl, and we marched around 6-8 Km which seems like nothing until you consider the fact that it was all uphill. On the hike, we visited the cascade (from whence the name Cat Cat comes - Vietnamese and Hmong locals imitating French speech), hiked some more and then went back to Sapa forlunch. After lunch we rented motorbikes and went off in search of the We left Sapa last night around 6:30 p.m. to head back to Lao Cai for the night train back to Hanoi.

Bamboo & Hanoi Train Station Movie
Couldn't access the movies. Maybe, it's AOL -- someimes AOL blocks stuff -- too bad for us.

Anyway, enjoyed the pics again. The 'road not taken pic,' wow -- great shot -- a beauty.

Did you put your photo on the wall in the Palace cafe?

PS: Saw 'SPELLING BEE,' last night -- a ton of laughs, great seats -- 1/2 off discount from PLAYBILL.

Re: hi from limor
Hey Limor,

so nice to hear from you. Sorry that Halong Bay was a bummer but you never know until you see it for yourself. Where are you now? We are in Dong Ha 10 hours south of Ninh Binh. We spent the day in the cold rain looking a famous military sights from the Vietnamese War with a couple of guides. It was very cold and wet but interesting. I hope you are having a wonderful time where ever you are.
