this is probably going to be my sign-off entry and it's going to be a photo one! So firstly thanks to everyone that has written to me. Anyway, the photos, I have just returned from the most amazing trip, the journey started in Northern chile and finished 5 days later in Salar de Uyni, Bolivia, taking us through some of the most hostile and extraordinary landscapes of the Americas. The contrast of the journey is dramatic traveling from mere dust and rumble into magnificent valley's where lakes change colors and the most stunning Andean flamengoes wade elegantly through the water. For hous you can be skimming through the desert when suddenly you end a mountain plateau where Llama's graze oblivious to the smoking volcanoies taht stand sentry over them.
You have amazing thermal pools which sprout stunning coloured algae while geysers bubble angerily throwing up huge bubbles of boiling mud
However like many beautiful things in this world it commands renumeration from you extracting it in extreme physical exertion. You race from 2500m (8200ft) to 5100m (16790ft) in less than 5 hours, you go from 25°c at midday to -20°c at midnight while all the time traversing this demanding landscape in a 4x4 jeep occupied by 9 people!!!!
Anyway I hope you enjoy these, I'll speak to most of you soon enough, well in the mean time keep well, i am off to relax in a wee beach for a while ... now what's it called again .... ah that's right copacabana lol!
