So it turns out my life long quest to become the voice of a major motion picture action hero continues. However, my goal to dub a human-relations video for a mid-range regional pharmaceutical company has a long last come true. It was still a lot of fun. My character was Marty Balderamma (I swear I am not making this up) and I had to sync-up his voice with my own. It was actually a lot of fun and it only took an hour. The compensation was very generous. In fact, we can now afford to go to Greece soon. Hannah actually got to play a roll as well, so we effectively doubled our money. I will take great pride in noting that I was paid first. That's right, I went to Turkey with no job, and I earned a paycheck before Hannah. Albeit 20 seconds before ... but still.
After we got paid, we went to a local pub to celebrate. This place was located in Taxim, in what used to be a nineteenth century Russian flower shop. The architecture was really amazing. I would say that there was around ten restaurants under this huge arching roof and each business has a greeter who if aggressively vying for your patronage. If you stop, look at them, or take a look at the menu, you will be hard pressed to escape. They are very friendly but also very pushy. I guess you would have to be to attract guests in an area that has so many restaurants.
No big plans for the rest of the week. I think we are going to rest up for the weekend. Maybe a trip to the Egyptian spice market on the Golden Horn. Who knew being a movie star was so exhausting.
