If our environment shapes and molds us then we have control over who we become. The gift our Creator gave to us known as free will. Which what we do with our free will is our greatest responsibility, and so with our responsibility to God is even greater. Gods Word is filled with this expression of this responsible by men who choose to seek after God amidst their appetite for sin. Not that we should hunger for sin but rather hunger for God with our every breath and our appetite will get smaller and smaller. Simple enough in theory yet the implementation is where reality begins to set it and often as I have seen in my own life discouragement and despair float to the surface and before long im surrounded in it and the more and more I over analyze the water, my buoyancy begins to lessen. Until I reach up as Peter as grasp the hand of my savior. Notice the fact that sometimes falling is necessary so we have no choice but to cry out. Yet Out of love for his royal servants He allows his heart to break knowing ultimately we will come back to Him or even worse realize the choice we had but remain in the quotient with no undo button for eternity. As I glance back to my current existence of continual falling and grasping then repeating the same I realize God was calling all along. Through my accepting the gift of eternal life I continue to stumble and fall for perfection is impossible until we get to go home. But rather it is about a choice the choice to awaken from my slumber to see myself in reception of falling and grasping.
How we go about standing up against the wave of status quo is not easy path. I echo previous thought for sense of importance just as the true poet himself in reprising the theme of eternal praise and unrestrained emotion while enduring the temporary battle against the essence of man but not forgetting what was before current essence.
As the country of Belize continues to recover from the devastation of the floods , food prices our on the rise and many of the grocery store shelves are empty either because lack of food or previous lack and slow recovering. Which really brings to focus what life is all about. We currently have a team here from the Missions group STEM which takes willing individuals from all over in the US and Canada and from all backgrounds and brings them here to do short term out reaches so be in prayer for the team and all of us as well that God will continue to fill us with strength and wisdom of how to better serve as Christ served us. My prayers are with all of you in Iowa currently within the flooding, and for those that are within the Churches reaching out to a perfect mission field.
The parrots continue to grow and become often more adventurous and tend to leave for day trips then return for feeding kind of like tourists hmm, but they are a big hit with the teams and the smith kids who are raising one of them know. Remodeling continues on the campus with a new studio to better facilitate more outreaches and finish work of team dorms and the kitchen. God is Working and I thank you all for your generous support whether through delicious treats that come in perfect during the fast paced team season or through your prayer and finical support. God has blessed me with amazing partners who are willing to put Christ First. Thanks again so much and pray for Belizeans to realize the work being done for Christ and to stand up and be apart of it and break away from the current system of expecting. If your have time at home or if your office allows tune into the radio for God inspired encouraging music and programs that reach and network the nations from Canada to Belize and beyond!
In final summation of all I have said, first this is what God has been showing me , I had been praying for this for years but He waited till I was in the right place at the right time. Their isnt a magic formula for having God reveal Himself to you, but rather guidelines given to us by God at the best way to go about it. In Gods time if you truly give yourself to Him it will happen.
With a little Gideon and personal mix here is my view. Stand for two hours or two hundred I will stand for Christ! Even When I must sit down and let others stand in my place. Christ stood through death so that I may stand with Him, carrying out His love to all the world and for eternity!
