Took the Breakfast in the Box and left early , but had to wait until the Guy's at Namibia Air Centre opened the Hangar.
Thank you again Peter and crew for taking care of my SX and your Hospitality.... really nice
folks here in Windhoek Eros Airport.
Immigration was a blast just one Gen.Dec and done.
Early Departure is always good in the Desert and especially here in the Botswana Desert where in the Midday Heat you get pretty bounced around even at higher Altitude and in an high Wing loading Airplane , I cannot imagine what it be like in an LSA here.
The Flight to Pilansburg lasted 2 hours and 33 minutes @ FL110 and 31 Gal Avgas for the 600 NM trip , pretty efficient I think.
Custom , Immigration at Pilanesberg FAPN is easy , quick and very friendly , you also fill out an Staff performance grading sheet , way to go SA ,should be everywhere like this....
Maybe the US and other country's could send some of the Border Staff here for Training... to re-gain the financial boost an open minded Tourist Friendly Country can get , instead of using Intimidating tactics which lot of folks around the world don't like and instead going elsewhere.
Picked up some Shell W 100 at grand Central Airport before Flying to FAVV where I will perform
Maintenance on my Bird, My SX got pretty good utilization , alone in October with 25 hours.
Will have to check everything very carefully for the long legs to come across the Indian Ocean.
Checked in at an nearby B&B in the 3 River City region....
