It's good to see Jackson (Liam's little toy dog) come out of his shell.  It's nice to see the benefits of international travel play-out on a toy so young.  It's the slow routine of beach life he enjoys.

Today was as lazy and as successful as could be imagined.  The morning drifted by on a beach looking somewhat tired and relieved after the nights tropical storms, with the kids playing in the surf.  Even the smallest of the tiny waves managed to make Asha scream with excitement as Liam clung to his mothers neck and/or bikini straps.   Nagging worries about forthcoming logistics or life's little worries seemed to happily dissolve in the churned up water or disappear down the thousand tiny sand holes dug by a thousand busy crabs, all self-important and impatient as they scurry from hole to hole.  Thankfully, today Asha decided not to be scared of the crabs and joined Liam in the late afternoon sun playing around the rocks and spotting fish caught in the rock pools.  An early beer and force-fed peanuts (thanks Liam) toasted the lukewarm sunset before a fantastic diner.  "Fantastic" in our language no longer means amazing meals, rather, a nearby swing and food that the kids at least nibble at.  For once everyone has a good-enough meal and it's all high spirits as we dash through the night and another tropical storm to get to our room for bedtime stories.  Asha, Liam, Kitty and Lambie all crash out leaving just Jackson and I to sit up and recap the days undramatic but perfect headlines.

And while you are 'resting' on the beach I am rushing round the shops in with the Christmas crowds thinking 'will Liam like this or this or both' and 'what would Asha like Father Christmas to give her' so no worries!
Love you lots and enjoy you life Mum xxxxx
