When we arrived, we were put into a group with some ladies that worked as flight attendants on the KLM airline. I think they might have been Dutch. They spoke English, but when they spoke the Dutch language, it sounded so funny. We all got geared up and listened to a five minute presentation on safety
After 3 hours of zipping, we met up at a outside table near a lake to have some lunch. It was a nice calming view. Before Leroy and I took off, I exchanged emails with the ladies.
The zip line tour was near the zoo so our driver asked if we wanted to stop off there for a bit. We did and I got to feed some fruits and grasses to some rhinos and giraffes. Feeding the rhino was pretty neat. I had never been that close to one.
Leroy and I made plans to meet up for dinner, Darien fruit, and a scorpion later. He wanted to take a nap and I wanted to catch up on my entries. We ate a quick Thai dinner around 10pm then set off to find the bug cart. We ran into a Darien fruit cart first. Darien is known to be one of the smelliest fruits on the planet. We shared some and It tasted ok. I wouldn't order it again, but everyone should try it at least once. We walked more on Khao San and not before long we found scorpions
We decided to relax at a outdoor sitting area to have a drink and met another couple from Australia. They were very nice and convinced us to go to a Ping Pong show and actually had a place to recommend called Queen's Castle II. They said the others will try to scam you out of more money. Never trust the people on the street asking you to go to the show.
It was located in Patpong so we took a taxi there. Luckily, the owner was Chinese so I was able to get special treatment, meaning no girls came over to bother us. Girls were blowing ping pongs out of their you know what at us, but that isn't even the craziest thing they did. They blew out candles on a birthday cake and even blew out darts to pop balloons a few feet away.
We had a long day so after just 1/2 hour of ping pong, we left for home.
