I actually spent a few days in a city called Amberto with Silvia, where I went crazy on the karaoke and got horribly drunk. Sadly didnt take any piccies, but its a nice town totally off the tourist radar.

Went to Banos a few hours away, and immediately loved the place. Totally surrounded by rich green volcanoes and mountains, one of which erupted several years ago, causing the total evacuation of the place for years. Its a fairly small town, but has fantastic thermal springs, which i ended up in one night drinking straight rum from the bottle with my mate and an ecuadorian family. Also during my time there i hired a quad bike for a bit, went for a 7 hour hike, and booked my flights to the Galapogus.
