And so the journey has begun... from my rents dropping me off at the airport to checking in , and finally getting on the plane, this roller coaster has finally begun! My main concern was sitting next to some moaning person but that thought was quickly flushed down the drain as i met a really nice girl called Ruth @ by sheer luck she was going to be sitting next to me on the plane. I had been told that Singapore airlines were good but it was honestly like hotel service, drinks followed one after each other and that was followed by a really nice meal (3 choices) and finally ending up with some nice ice cream 'yum yum'... what more could you want? After 2ish hours chatting to Ruth we decided tow watch a film, little did we know that there would be 80 films to choose from! After the film some sleep was in order, being in an isle seat was a good thing but every time someone walked past, there went the idea of any sleep. Finally breakfast time... lets see what is on show! Hmmm noodles @ pork wasn't on my agenda but it certainly filled a gap. Before i knew it we had landed @ it was time to say goodbye to Ruth as she was waiting for two hours before hopping onto another plane to Brisbane! I am sure @ some point we will meet up again. All that was left now was to pick up my bags @ go through immigration. Getting my bus from the airport to my hotel went very smoothly but once at the hotel I started to feel a tad lonely. A bit of unpacking & it was time to head out & look around... the time was 8pm so i had plenty of time. Even so late the temp was so humid & the amount of phones/ camera shops was staggering. I had a nice Tiger Beer in a local bar & then headed back to the hotel some 2 hours later. A nice shower and some t.v made it a nice relaxing evening!
