Today being Sunday and lots of things being closed, we decided to hang around the hotel and veg. Kailey drew lots of attention in the pool, guess no one has seen a white fish before. Pearl -the lady at the front desk was crying because she won't see Kailey again as she is off tomorrow. She did give us her email address tho, first person we've come across that has one. Guess because she works here she has access to the computers.
Sure glad we didn't go to church today, the one down the road is still wailing away and it is almost 5 PM!
Not sure if we'll venture out tonight to look for a different restaurant or eat here again. Lots of places are closed on Sunday, including the restaurants. This am we tried to order bananas and oranges for breakfast, and all they had were pineapples. Can you believe no bananas! I swore I'd die of banana-overload at Daniel's house.
Kelan was playing the 106.9 The Bear radio station from Ottawa in the computer room today and it drew lots of stares from the black guys. Quite a bit different from the rap they download and listen to here.
I decided to wash out some clothes in the bathtub today and hung them on the doorknobs etc to dry and next thing we know the cleaning staff has them hung out on a clothesline. Sure hope we get them all back! If we see some black guy walking down the street with an Arnprior District High School T-shirt on, we'll know where it came from!
Lots of lizards here, the kids keep trying to catch one, but of course they won't. They have really neat ones with yellow heads and yellow tails and blue bodies. They are the biggest ones we've seen, nothing more than about 10" or so. Shawn says they are no where near as big as they used to be when he was a boy here.
