As far as TV goes, the kids were able to catch Sponge Bob this morning. We also saw the Global logo on one channel. Last night the AC was working in the living room but we can't get it to turn on tonight. Turns out you can't have the fans and the lights and the AC all on at the same time! Only so much power available I guess. The boys are bummed because the computer in the house isn't working. I had to pry the butter knife out of Andrew's hands as he attempted to open the CPU to fix it. Not sure what he thought he could do, but he was just driven by his need to communicate with his buddies. For some reason tonight the villa is crawling with bugs, especially ants. Big ones, little ones, all colours and sizes. Where are those house lizards when you need them? Guess we shouldn't have chased that fellow out of the living room, he'd obviously been doing a good job. Kelan woke up in the night, burst into our room saying he'd been bitten so not knowing what to expect, we jumped out of bed, ripped off his shirt and found he was covered with bites. Oh God, mosquitos was the first thought - and malaria. But, he said they stung instead of itched. What does a malaria-ridden mosquito's bite feel like anyway? Same as those pesky ones at home I'm hoping. We figured out they must have been ant bites. The leather chair in front of the window where Kelan had been sitting must have been infested with them. I searched thru the pharmacy I brought with me and covered him in AfterBite and he said it helped some. Thankfully by morning the bites were gone and I felt relieved - so did Kelan I bet.
