Cappadocia was pretty amazing. I would liken it as a mixture of the Badlands and Arches National Monument, but entirely more phallic (Google Image the region to see what I´m talking about). Walked around several of the valleys around Göreme and snapped some awesome pics. Almost all of these spires have been carved out and lived in. My hostel was, in fact, a cave.
Took a tour to an underground city that had been built by early Christians. Eight levels and 70 meters deep, it was enough to support 4,000 inhabitants. Also sampled some local wine, which was surprisingly good, but a tad expensive.
Slow pace and beautiful scenery, this is definitely the place to come in Turkey. Now off to Antakya as my last stop in the country.
