Today we had a lot of "blowing dust"--it was sort of like the fog in Cincinnati, except it gets into everything, it gets stuck in the grass (why grass was never intended to grow in the desert), smells like chalk dust, and when you inhale a puff of it, you choke.

So--this morning, the earth opened up and blew dust all over Dubai.  This evening, the sky opened up and dropped rain on Dubai!  (Again).
