...on an airplane.

I actually arrived early Friday morning, but this is the first chance I've had to access a computer on campus, because I'm too poor to afford my own and had to wait till the library opened for the semester.

I do not have much to report at this time, except for a little jet-lag and mass confusion in this school.

However, quite a lot happened to me in the airports, which--at the risk of sounding like Lemony Snicket--involved baggage mix-ups, gale-force winds, a broken ticketing machine, a rip-off tuna sandwich, Heathrow airport, and intimidating border guards dressed in pristine robes.  Yeah, but there was also the nice woman at the gate who bent over backwards to get my luggage to Dubai, and there were the two seats I got to myself, and my fellow Clinton scholar who gave me a ride to the American U. in Dubai, which is better than hiring a taxi any day.

I'll keep this updated, just as soon as I figure out what's happening to me.
