Dear Friends & Family,
Here are some pictures that I took last week at Hope School in Ramallah. May you enjoy seeing the faces of these lively children.
Yesterday, Michael and I spent a couple of hours with Valentina Maggiulli. She is the local Program Coordinator for the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel. We have gotten to know her from church. Valentina is such an interesting person who is working for this organization that is funded through the World Council of Churches. This is a program that is committed to working for the protection of innocent people as they cross checkpoints or deal with keeping their homes. They also accompany children as they go to school. If you are interested in learning about their non-violent efforts, see www.eappi.org We encourage you to read - we certainly learned so much as we poured over the maps and listened to her explanations.
This is just a short note today. We are holding all of you in our hearts as we continue to learn, understand, explore, and find friendships here in this country.
En shelah! "God Be With You"
Jolene and Michael
