The past couple of days have been rather quiet for us, so today we want to send you some miscellaneous pictures from this past week with some annotations on them. Click on each picture to read about the image. We were in all day on Saturday because of rain. That day was spent reading and writing. Today, we attended the Lutheran Church again and enjoyed worship with the congregation. They do not have actual members, but they consider someone a member if they have attended 5 times. Just about all the the regular attenders are here in Jerusalem for short periods of time. The visitors today numbered about 80. So far, Jolene & I have been there twice so we will not be regulars for three more Sundays! We want to introduce a new feature on the Blog called "What Is This?". If you guess correctly you will receive a prize. The prize will have to wait until we get back, but we will keep track of who guessed correctly. There will be at least two unusual pictures a week and we will give the answers in each Sunday blog. Enjoy the picures!

Enjoyed the week in pictures. Quite a potpourri of sights. The chapel where you have been worshipping looks so ... I can't even come up with an adequate word to describe it ... but I think worshiping there would be an awesome experience!
I like your new 'What is This?' feature. I'll be stating my response in the form of a question (in case this is like 'Jeopardy,' I don't want to be disqualified on a technicality! Not that I'm sure I even have the correct answer!!): Is it poultry in the market that you had NO intention of buying because you had NO idea how long it had been hanging there? If I need to be more specific, as to what KIND of poultry, I'll guess: What is quail? You know, because of the biblical tie-in of the manna and quail in Exodus. Even though quail is most likely wrong, that 'educational guess' should be worth something ... don't you think?
