Well, the travelling has once again begun! Just a short entry as I haven't really done much yet! I felt very strange and kind of sad leaving Christchurch which I suppose means I made it a temporary home. I had an amazing last weekend in Christchurch full of partying, a lack of sleep and some of which I don't quite remember and so as I went past the house a huge group of friends moved into this weekend I wondered whether I was doing the right thing and if I should have taken that job I was offered for a month... then I arrived in Kaikoura!

Kaikoura was unbelievably beautiful. I can't think of many places where you get to lay on the beach in the warm and look at snow capped mountains right next to it! I mean literally, right next to it (photos will follow soonish)! The sea was a gorgeous turquoise colour and the stones/pebbles were a really dark grey - not the kind of beach I'm used to seeing but I'm always interested in something new Chilling in Christchurch

! I also seem to have a fascination with snow capped mountains that I can't quite explain so it was perfect for me and I couldn't stop smiling! Not that I want to be up the mountain 'cos I'm now afraid of the cold but I love to look at them in the warmer weather!

The bus journey wasn't bad at all and actually over pretty fast - I think the 12 hour journeys in Thailand prepared me well! I only stayed one night in Kaikoura as I'll visit again to swim with dolphins when I head back to Christchurch and it's a lot warmer! On the way to Picton today we stopped of at a seal colony and got the see all the babies diving around in the water which was very sweet... we were told not to get close to them 'cos they'll charge and bite... as much as I wanted to go and join in I decided to listen... this time! We moved on to Picton and from there I got the ferry to Wellington - they had beds on board so after an hour of admiring the view I decided to sleep - not like me at all of course! I'll be here in Welly for 2 nights to try and get some work sorted to begin in a month before going over to Napier and then on to Lake Taupo where I'll probably do my sky dive!

I'll probably be updating more frequently now I'm actually doing stuff! Hope all is well with everyone and hope to hear from you all soon! Take care!
