Am up at stupid o'clock in the morning 'cos I still haven't packed yet and I have a whole load of things to catch up with before I leave in T minus 5 hours... 5 hours?!! How this 'little' trip came around so fast I'll never know. One minute I'm at work saying I'll be pulling my hair out with two weeks off and the next I'm actually doing it - thank god I took those two weeks off or I'd be screaming even more right now!
This is more of a test than anything to check and see if my computer knowledge is skilled enough to work out how to use this online travel journal thing (how old do I sound?!). Hopefully it'll work and if you know of anyone who I've missed off the email list then please let me know so I can add them!
It's also an opportunity to say thank you to everyone! Thanks to those who have supported me and gone out of your way to make sure this all ran smoothly and I had everything I needed... looking at the piles on my floor I actually think it's all gonna fit which is pretty amazing to me. Okay, I've been very strict with the amount of clothing I'm taking (those of you who have had me to stay will know a small bag is not my thing!) but I don't think I'll have to jump up and down on my bag too much!
Thank you all also for your cards, gifts and kind and wise words over the past few weeks. I would've been lost without a lot of you and probably would've run a mile in the opposite direction if I'd thought about it too much!
Pleeeeeeeeeeease come and visit me at any point on my trip 'cos I still don't wanna go it alone. I think it may be a little late for that but I'm pretty sure I'll pick up a few randoms on the plane who I can attach myself to. Poor people woke up this morning thinking they were going to have a nice peaceful flight to South Africa... little do they know I will be gracing them with my presence and they will have no peace at all! Seriously though, COME ALONG!
Right, making this short or I'll just ramble for hours. Please stay in touch and make sure you update me on everything in your lives. I may not be able to reply too often or in great length but that doesn't make me any less interested in your lives and pictures so send 'em on over! Take care of yourselves... and eachother (Jerry Springer?!) xx
