...Richard Powney has left the country.

I dropped him off at Dulles airport yesterday and did my usual thing of legging it as quick as I could. I don't like airports. You always have to say goodbye to people that you don't want to have to say goodbye to.

Anyway, his stay has been brilliant and it's flown by. I think that's a good thing. We've had lots of beers, booze and brewskies and the odd bit of food here and there too, while trying to navigate our way from Houston to Washington DC. We've tried to mix with the locals as much as possible along the way, which has been interesting. More trouble than it's worth for the most part. For instance, I have been accused of stealing credit cards, pretty ironic when I think of how much money has been nicked from me on this trip and had drinks with someone who turned out to be nothing more than a complete racist. Just stuff like that.

When I have checked with Rich which stories are for public consumption, I will come back with more, but, for now, that's all, and it doesn't seem to do the last fortnight justice but I have just wound up in Memphis after a 13 hour solo drive and the only thing to ponder on now is whether I sleep standing up or laying down, so for that I must apologise.

In case you're wondering, which I'm sure you're not, why I'm in Memphis, I thought it would be nice to visit the family again in Tyler, Texas for a couple of nights. On my way to Denver. Where I have to be on Thursday. I'll leave that with you....

For reference

This entry takes the standard of blogs to new depths of mediocrity.
And by, 'takes', I mean, 'plummets'.
Two sides of a triangle are better than one.
