I have arrived..early morning flight and a grilling at customers. Apparently when you confess that you might have a Vick's inhaler this leads to a full bag search!!! At least I didn't get cavity!!!!
An hour train journey over to the main bus station and a ticket over night to Hiroshima.
So not long so far in Japan, but first impressions......
The people are soooo friendly. Theres not many westerners here, even in the main bus station, so when you look lost anyone that speaks English is ready to help. The train network is really confusing, just look at the subway map...ill photo it and put it on the blog, its enough to give head aches. The place is pretty clean and the people dress well...not too many chavs or bogans so far!!!!
In all its what I have been looking for after SE Asia. Apart form the hassle from hawkers Thailand, Laos, Cambodia etc any farang friendly and most people speak English. Heres a complete cultural change, I feel slightly out of my depth and love it!!!! I guess it will get easier in time...bring on Japan!!!!
