I have just had one of the bizarre days since I've been traveling......
We got to the capital and I really needed air con, so I convinced Chris to get a hotel room...I had one of the best sleeps ever after days of sweat and flu.
So the day. It started off with a visit to the s21 concentration camp in which Pol Pot killed and tortured many during the time of the Khmer Rouge and after wards we went to the killing fields, with the shocking remains of victims skulls and mass graves. So all in all pretty depressing....
The day then took a bizarre twist........
The tuk tuk driver then said, you want fire shot gun? He the took us on a dirt road to an army firing range.
Once there we were presented with a menu, listing not only drinks but ak47s, m16, colt 47 right through to rocket launcher...which costs 200 dollars.
Not to miss an opportunity of a life time (when am I ever going to fire another gun!!!) I decided to folk out the 30 dollars to fire an ak47. So we dressed up in the Cambodian military jackets, put on ear protectors and then fired our weapons, what a bizarre experience, especially after visiting the killing fields!!!
The afternoon was less dramatic, I trip around the Russian market and the Royal Palace, which was surprisingly quite good.
Another day traveling in Asia!!!!
