Apologies, your just about to get a barraged of blogs from the last week or so...unfortunately the speed of Internet in Cambodia isn't that hot so I am using the opportunity of using top Hong Kong inefficiency to catch up on my blogs!!!!

Tomb Raiding...not quite in the style of Miss Jolie, in fact you should see the early morning pictures of me.....still dosed up on anti flu tablets, no sleep and in stinking 40 degree heat.....sweating my tits off at 7 in the morning.

But Angkor was worth it.

A massive temple site in the Cambodian forest...however we had picked a bad day to visit due to the new year, so the place was packed Angkor Thom South Gate 1

Our journey there as long but not too bad. An overnight bus from the Laos border, bus from Bangkok to the Cambodian border, arguments with the border guards over visa costs and then a shared taxi...all in the day of a traveler.

Angkor is just fantastic, huge temple, amazing carvings a temples spend over a grand scale, we started the  day at sunrise at Angkor Wat the center piece of the ruins. Not quite peaceful due to the numbers, but amazing views and reflections across the ponds..a good start to the day. Then wondering around the Wat a a tuk tuk ride through the impressive Angkor Thom gates. Here are more impressive temples including my favorite the Bayon...face built into the side of a temple. this complex walled with more faced gates, also has more sites and was the main center of the Khmer reign.

The tuk tuk the spent the rest of the day visiting outer ruins, including the famous Ta Phrom used in the Tomb Raiding films. Although impressive other temples also have large trees growing across the ruins and further out less tourists make some of these ruins more enjoyable.
