I am sick to death with Tuk Tuk drivers, do they think we are all dumb?? This morning we got a cab to the train station, nowing it was 50baht, the tuk tuk wanted 50 each and to stop at a store before, this is what they do to pick up extra comission.

Anyway off on only my 3rd train journey of the trip i went, Thai railway...doggy tracks, wooden seats but only 20 baht a ride...about 30p for a 1h30min trip..bargain.

Our destination Ayuthaya, the old Siam capital north of Bangkok.

Right got there, had a quick ferry ride across the river and started templing, something I hadn't done for far to long.....

Here is famous for a buddha face surrounded by tree roots, pretty cool, but after a while started to explore the other temples further away. One such was across the river, reconstructed but takes your breath away...check out the great pictures from on top of the ruins.

Pretty straight forward siteseeing day, although tension is building as I fly off to Yangon tomorrow, in Myanmar....they only receive 600,000 tourists a year and very few Brits...The main aim to get to Bagan the ancient temple city in the North.
