I had a site seeing day of three days in Bangkok. I knew i would be having big nights in Phuket and the other South Islands, plus I was doing the whole Ko San thing on the way back up through Thailand.
So arrival in Bangkok...and bizarrely at the airport I bump into Holly I met in Byron Bay. Shes going to Ko Tao...so might meet her in a couple of days.
So first day...mission 1 to sort out my Myanmar visa....mission accomplished, but had to pick it up the following day.
Mission 2 to change my flights....so I am now going to Japan for 10days...hurray!!!
Mission 3 do my washing....always a pain...but as you know I get stinky and it needed doing.
All done and a good sleep was in hand
Next day I visited some of the other temples in Bangkok and had to hang around to wait for my visa...a pretty chilled day until 4 in the morning when an Ozzie bloke and Scottish dude starting shouting in the dorm..i backed the snoring Ozzie dude...he cant help snoring thats what ear plugs are for... the Scottish bloke was obviously after a local Thia girl and he soon got put in his place.
Next day and refreshed I had an awesome day...
I thought it would just be dirty and seedy here in Bangkok...and yes it does have that as well..but the temples are also top notch. Theres the big old grand palace, WATS that line the river and the impressive Wat Pho with its huge reclining gold buddha.
Site seeing and jobs done off on an over night bus ride to the south, to see my mum and sis, and party on the back packer beeches.
