On our way out of Byron Bay to Australia Zoo we heard a news report that a 9 meter white pointer had been spotted off Byron Bay, we stopped at Sammy place on the way back up and asked what this is....its turns out to be a great white shark!!! So we had been diving and surfing in the area where a great white had been seen......damn!!!
Onto OZ Zoo, world famous for the crocadile hunter aka Steve Irwin, who everyone knows died last year, but his spirit goes on and zoo is built around his success.
What impressed me most about the zoo was that all the animals looked so happy. There was the oppotunity to sit next to kangeroos, hold koalas touch other animals around the zoo.
The main show showing a croc show was best remember for bird preformance, just because they flew around the stadium sitting next to the audience.
That night we headed onto Noosa, spent the night there and had another quick surf the following day.
