So onto Nelson a two hour drive from Picton.
On the way I received a text from Jamie letting me know the hostel they were staying in and when I arrive I decided to dump my stuff and go out mountain biking.
A 30mins ride from town took me to the beech, so big and quite I could ride along the sand, while watching the kite surfers.
On the way back from town I cycled around the surrounding Maitai valley for more impressive scenery.
With the magic bus a day ahead, I decided to skip Greymouth (as there is not much there) and book a tour to Abel Tasman National park north of Nelson.
