What a weekend.....blazing sunshine, healthy banta, competitive footy and Oh yes a drinking session!!!

Swindon hosted the corporate games for 2006, they didn't know what was coming.

We rolled up on Friday night to register before catching up over a couple of beers and of course the pre match pasta.

An early start on Saturday morning (8am) saw a convincing first victory over a bunch of Geodie thugs, goals for Rosier, Hatcher and Morton. and or course my token 15 minute performance before injury.

An hour later we pulled off a cracking performance against the strongest team in the group 3-1, with goals for our French boys Berty and Seb.

After lashing of lucosade and sunburn we cemented our place in the next round with a well fought 1-1 draw, skipper morton towered over the opposition to head in the equalizer.

Are last game was given as a 2-0 win as the other team were to scared to play the mighty SA united.

That night saw messy drinking, a rugby/netball banta and the best comment of the night coming from our camera man James - Get it Off! when Marie (the netball captain) stood up to make her speech - Princeless......

11am start and touch opposition, and an amazing defensive display from both centre backs after there marathon drinking session the night before....

After going a goal down the boys pushed forward and force a last minute equalizer, again captain fantastic Morton.

Penalties loomed.

We scored our first three penalties, gutted that a save from Butler was disallowed. In sudden death Butler pulled off a amazing save, but unfortunately Pete missed the next. More perfect pens from Adam and Gav saw our last out field player move forward to take the kick. Again gutted for Hugo as his shot fired wide.

No shame in the result, unbeaten in the tournament and only beaten by a Ryman League that later went on to the semi-finals.
