Backpack on...hung over getting up at 5.30 am to catch a flight.
That reminds me a bit of six months ago.
A day of travelling later I arrived in the Northern Israeli city of Haifa. Amixed journey of a train to Waterloo, packed comuter tube to St Pancreas, which by the way is pretty spectacular and another train to Luton.
At the airport a first view of whats to come a que full of blokes with funny hats and a complete tosser argueing about extra baggage charges..oh no back to my Israeli exerience in South America!! Sods law I ended up next to him on the plane!!
I was completely ready for him assume sleep mode with earplug protection. The bloke was a pain in the arse moving continuously and asking the staff for things all the time..knob jockey of highest order.
Travel is easy here..straight off the plane and onto a train, although had the joy of another grilling at customs. At one point i was asked to list all the countries I had visited in the last year...i was happy to was there time!!!
Once away from the airport the religon is less aparent, however it may be me getting use to the environment...i guess everyone wants to wear traditional dress when travelling here. I have noticed alot of military going north on the train, I'm wondering if all the country is like this...
There are also less military check points then I thought. In the evening I had my first falafal with a Columbian/Moroccon family who have asked me to return for traditional dinner with them tomorrow, when we pray for food.
Oh yeah the hostel is full of people from the Bahai faith, I don't really get it, however they keep giving me free food and tea..so I'm game for the moment..plus its full of South American women..what a result!!
