We arrived in Jordan at the Queen Ali International Airport. The legendary Mr Fayez had arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport. When driving into Amman there was not much life around, the city seemed a mass of concrete buildings with no character. We arrived at our hostel, Al-Saraya which I could not recommend highly enough. Here we meet Mr Fayez a big character. We walked into his office with sofa's and him smoking behind a desk dealing in Oil stock over the internet. On his left a book cabinet with a stuffed wolf on top, which he claimed was given to him by an Italian journalist from Iraq and apparently was shot by Sadam Hussein himself. Fayez kindly offered us tea and then gave us ideas of what to see in Jordan. He organised for us private taxi's to travel around the North of the country and down to Perta, both seemed reasonable priced. When then slumped to our beds after a shocking hard week at work, my eyes felt like bleeding!!! I had however forgotten to put my ear plugs in and woke up at 4am when the local mosaic started calling people to pray.
