Hugh:
So, it's my turn to write the blog today. We're in an extortionate internet cafe so I'll try to be quick.

We overslept yet again this morning. Partly because we didn't sleep very well. I've managed to pick up a really bad cold and have been sneezing and sniffling for the past couple of days.
This morning we went for another wander around Chantaburi and I managed to find my hat that I had left in the internet cafe. Then we found a pure vegetarian Indian restaurant right next to the hotel so had some lunch. we then visited the King's monument before heading to the bus station.

A little note about Chantaburi: when the Burmese were invading Thailand, the King and his troops were driven back as far as Chantaburi where they re-grouped and subsequently forced the Burmese out. Hence the monument to the king (at least that's what I think it was all about!).

So we got the bus to Trat after waiting quite a while at the bus station. First being told we buy the ticket on the bus, then when it arrived and we tried to get on were told we had to buy our tickets from the booth.

But we got here, and are staying in a lovely little guesthouse called Ban Jaidee. It's spotlessly clean and has about 5 cats who have been keeping us amused. We even managed to find some really nice veggie food without too much hassle.

I'll sign-off now.

Where we're staying in Trat:
Ban Jaidee Guest House - 150 THB per night for a fan room with shared bathroom. Chaimongkol Rd. Really lovely guesthouse, clean and fairly quiet with lots of cats. Owners really friendly and speak good English. They have a good photocopied map of the town you can take too! The town is so small you can walk everwhere pretty much.

For Veggies visiting Trat:
It's pretty easy here for veggies really! We like Cool Corner restaurant - for dinner and breakfast :) We've walked past loads of places that say veggie food. It's on the corner of Thanacharoen Rd and Yai on Soi.

Other helpful things
The only tourist internet place we found charged a fortune (where we wrote the entry above), but we've just found a Thai games cafe that charges 20 THB per hour for the internet. It is off Sukhumvit Rd on the way to Wat Bupharam.
