Hello again
We've got a little longer in an internet cafe this time, so we thought we'd have a go at popping some pictures up. We went to the big techy shopping centre thingummy today and managed to get a thing that should let us plug our camera card into a USB hub. So even though we left our cable at home (again), we might manage it.. Click on the photos for larger ones (they've cut them to be small and square). There are also some other photos in our photo album attached to this entry.
Us on our first night - we headed to the Khao San rd by taxi to find veggie food. We'd had about 5 hours sleep in 48 hours.
This is the veggie place we headed to - we returned for a late lunch the next day after our ramble through chinatown and boat trip. We are not far from there again now. Finding veggie food in Bangkok is tough so we keep coming back here. We can get a stupidly huge veggie meal with drinks for about 300baht (about 4 pounds). May as well take advantage whilst we can!
Talking of which, we're off to find dinner! We think we're going to catch a bus to Chantaburi tomorrow, which is a smaller town to the east of Bangkok. We've found a guest house that sounds nice, right by the river. So fingers crossed!
PS: We've done well on the bargainous hunting. Found ourselves watches last night at a totally unexpected night market. The only boats that run at night are cross-river ferries, so we headed across the river from our hotel and found a really good market that seemed to have no westerners at all!
