October 21
We spent a long day in New York City. We took the boat from the New Jersey side to the Statue of Liberty. We had tickets to go inside the pedestal of the statue. Climbing the stairs was well worth it because the view was incredible.
We board the boat again to Ellis Island. Besides eating lunch there, Mrs. Yap guided us through the building. The boat ride back to Battery Park in Manhattan was a rough ride.
We didn't get a good view of the World Trade site. There was too much construction going on and there was no place to pull over for an extended period of time.
Some of us changed in the bus to get ready for the theater
We ate at the Playwright Restaurant Act II then it was off to the Lion King. Everyone really enjoyed the show.
Tomorrow we have a long drive to Boston.
Bye

. Some students and chaperones dressed up for the occasion. I have to mention that Douglas look pretty sharp wearing a neck tie and some of the girls, Courtney, Janelle, and Krislyn were able to get their hair done before we went to dinner. We ate at the Playwright Restaurant Act II then it was off to the Lion King. Wish I were there!
I really enjoyed reading all 29 entries of the 'Great Adventures of HMS 5th Graders'! What wonderful writers and photographers you all are!
I'm glad to read about the fun you're having while visiting all these spectacular places. You will remember history and geography when you have actually been at these historic sites. Did you imagine it would be so cold??
Tell me all about your experiences when you return to sunny Hawaii!
