Like my first blog, you will have to bare with me as it has been about 8 months since I took this trip. I am currently planning my next one (Hopefully European Magic in September) so I decided to take some time and look back on all the good times we had!
After Going alone on a group trip to Israel, and traveling on my first Contiki with my cousin, I was confident in knowing I would have an awesome time on my next trip, even if it meant going alone. I did a lot of research this time around using Samantha Brown, Rick Steve's, travel pod, youtube and the contiki forum...and found that being well prepared for the good and the bad served me well this time around haha. As a matter of fact here are some tips for any traveling novice:
-Do not over pack shoes and clothing. If you are the type of girl to wear heels out at night, don't even bother unless you can really fit a pair. I packed very high wedges and only wore them once, to a fancy concert in Vienna. Most streets are coblestone anyway. Flats are good for dancing and walking. Your feet will thank you.
-Have a set plan for where you want to go in each city if there is downtime. There isnt much time to plan while you are there and you don't want to waste it discussing "where to go." Chances are if you are express confidence in your itinerary, the others on the group will follow you.
-Figure out how to get from the airport to the hotel in advance. Public transportation is fine if you dont mind lugging your bags around. It's very cheap too!

Weather side note: The weather on this July trip was generally amazing! It may have been a little chilly one morning I think...
