We left Singapore on Sunday evening, barely catching our bus in time.  We seem to be making a habit out of almost missing our rides, and it is bound to happen sooner or later.  The bus took us to Kuala Lumpur, where we caught our flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia.  This was a neat town and everything was fairly inexpensive.  We got a nice hostel and booked a Tuk Tuk for a day to drive us around.  It was about $13 and he would take us anywhere we wanted whenever we wanted.  So we toured Angkor Wat.  It really was an amazing place, too.  Stunning to see what people were able to create hundreds of years ago without the technology we have today.
Sadly, it was about 100 degrees all day, which kept us pretty exhausted.  Later in the afternoon, however, we were drenched by the rain which came with little warning.
We lined up a shuttle van to take us to our 7:00 bus to Saigon, and we were supposed to meet the van at 6:00 in front of our hostel.  Somehow, though, our alarm didn't do its trick and they woke us up at 6:15 with a bunch of passengers waiting to get to the same place.  I felt badly about that, and we packed and were out the door in about 5 minutes.  This would be pretty impressive to you, too, if you had seen what shape our room was in.
The bus ride cost $22 and was ALL day long.  We changed buses in Phnom Penh, which was nice because the newer one was really comfortable.  They even provided us with a supper voucher for $1 which got us a plate of rice and vegetables.  Not a bad deal, really.  Going through the border into Vietnam was a breeze.  Alban thinks we could just about do it with fake passports since they didn't scrutinize them very carefully.  We arrived in Saigon well after dark, giving us just enough time to eat another supper for under a buck, get a hostel for about $4, book our bus to Hanoi, and now use the internet.  That is about where things are right now, and I am being kicked out of the internet cafe because it is midnight.  At least I think that's what her hand motions meant.

Yeah
It is pretty cool what people back then could build. Like the pyramids, and several structures in Mexico and South American, and Stonehenge. We can't even build them with today's technology. The statues on Easter Island. All impossible for us today. It makes one wonder what kind of technology they really had back then.

Angkor Wat
I loved Angkor Wat. It was so huge and beautiful. I thought the trees that just grow on the temples are so crazy. I miss being able to eat and find a place to stay for about $5. I'm a little jealous of you guys right now!
