Early yesterday morning we awoke to catch a flight to Kuala Lumpur from Bangkok. It wasn't early enough, though, as we made our flight by thirty seconds while still managing to lose half of all of Phil's stuff--poor guy.
This city is great. I really like it more than Bangkok as there is more to do and great shopping, too. For instance, last night I pickep up a great leather wallet at a good price; about thirty ringett (ten bucks), not bad for some genuine fake Gucci. And today I picked up a beautiful silk tie for a mere 20 ringett (bargained down from 65, are you impressed?). It came with matching cuff links and a hanky square, now I'll definitely be looking sharper. Thank goodness for great sellers, otherwise this pricy item never would have been mine. I was also offered a girlfriend. At first I thought he was trying to sell perfume, but that wasn't the case. This was going to be the real deal, although I can't see it haviong turned into a long-term relationship.
Aside from shopping, we got a great opportunity to visit the Sky Bridge of the Petronas Twin Towers. It would have been nice to make it to the top, but I guess you take what you can get. It was especially nice because it was for free.
Tonight, in about 45 minutes, we will board the five hour train to Singapore, hopefully we can get some good rest then, because we need it. Especially Alban, because the poor guy is really not feeling so good at all.
Anyway, have a good day.
7-Elevens in major southeast Asian cities are like Starbucks in Seattle. At least one per block!

sounds great
I think my uncle has had a few online girlfriends there in Malaysia haha. Though I don't think he ever bought his. Which reminds me, are you planning on visiting the Philippines?
Haha
Man I still think that's pretty funny that they tried to sell you a woman. And also kind of sad really, that women can be treated as property over there.
Save your money
Lance, I read your blog and I see a lot of money flying out of your pockets. Hope you're saving enough so that I'll see you.
