I arrived in Georgetown around 7.00pm. Penang is an island off the north west coast of Malaysia and is reachable by a 17km bridge (said to be the longest in southeast Asia). I eventually managed to find somewhere to stay and get some dinner before I fell into bed. The following day I went for a wander round town in the sweltering heat. I went to Fort Cornwallis. The fort was something to do with the British invading many years ago. I then went to visit an old Chinese House called the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion in the centre of town which had been converted into a bed and breakfast. It was a fascinating insight into chinese feng shui. I then decided to book a boat out of the city, over to Langkawi for some relaxation time on a beach...
