A little taste of Portugal

I'm heading off to Thailand on Saturday where I'm told it's a lot hotter than it is in Hong Kong, given that it was 42oC here yesterday, I'm not sure I'm looking forward to it.
Dave took me on the ferry to Macau today. We started off with lunch in a lovely little restaurant called Fernandos on Coloane Island. After a few bottles of vino verde and some lovely food we were about to leave whe we bumped into an old friend of Dave's, Terry, who invited us to join him. A couple more bottles of vino verde and we headed off on the local bus to the little village square where we met an English couple who'd been living there for 20 years. A few more drinks and we headed back to Macau to the Club Militar where Terry was a member. We also went to the Embassy Bar and for a lovely Italian meal, with some lovely Italian wine. I didn't see much of Macau apart from the bars, but it was very enjoyable. Arriving back in Hong Kong we decided to go to the FCC (Foreign Correspondence Club), where Terry was also a member, for a nightcap. Unfortunately I didn't see anyone famous.
