I'm now back in Hong Kong. My last day in Japan was fairly uneventful. I was woken at the crack of dawn again by the tannoy. I'd hoped to go to Toba to see the Pearl Island but I didn't really have enough time, so I just hopped on the train back to Tokyo. After finding myself some accommodation I went for a wander. I wanted to find a new shopping centre that had opened and was mentioned in my guide book. What it didn't tell me was that the centre was on an island and I had to take a boat to get there. Odaiba Sea Park consisted of lots of shopping centres and a huge ferris wheel. I got the monorail back to the mainland.

The weather here just now is not too good as the Super Typhoon Imbudo has just passed us. Fortunately it passed about 100 miles south of Hong Kong so we didn't get too badly affected - just lots wind and rain. It's nice just now because it's slightly cooler than normal.

I'm hoping to move on to Thailand in a week or two. Before that I'm planning to see Macau and Lantau - both islands near Hong Kong and also take a trip up to Shenzen in China.
