I was in carriage 10 on the train and everyone else in our group was in carriage 5. I was a bit nervous as to who I would be sharing with. As it turned out I had a 4 berth cabin all to myself which was very nice! Is was a good 10 minute walk down to carriage 5, but I met lots of people in my own carriage. The 50 hours passed very quickly, playing cards most of the time, with Lei and Gerry from Australia. Lana and Maria were 2 Russian girls returning to Irkustk after a year studying in America. They taught us a great Russian card game called fool. Guiseppe from Italy also taught us how to use Italian playing cards which was incredibly confusing - we gave up in the end.
