Hey you guys!! it's Ings.  it's been a while - i'm having the time of my life:)
Darwin is the duck's nuts.  that's something related to the Bees Knees but much more colorful.  I just got to Darwin after a roadtrip with my ladies through the Outback.  I have just had a blast with the girls, Esther and Leanne, my Dutchies, and Caroline my Deutchy.  I have made a truely great friendship with Caroline.  we are like 2 peas in a pod, a really loud, trouble making pod that laughs a lot.   We have riotous times and we also have beautiful heart to hearts and tent talks.  She is an amazing girl, and has taught me so much about travelling, about really living it up, and getting a little closer to my wild heart (the part of you that's just pure, unfiltered passion about something)  She also does a really good imitation of my cackle.  We have a blast.  Apart from our epic hikes and runs and photo-shoots and camping-fire making (i tried my first real fire, i made the nice little tee pee of sticks, then she came along and took over with a giant log and a bottle of kerosene, RUDE!) sleeping on top of our tent under the stars with cheeky Dingo's chilling with us by our fire (stealing chocolate muffins and chewing on aluminum foil), hours spent playing in the rockholes and waterfalls, and hanging at the night markets and music festivals with a troup of Disco Boys from Melbourne (they are an exact replica of Heath, Phil, and Nate - think Anchor Men! ! and really cool to meet some travelling boys who are just cool to hang with, and just interested in being good friends!),  we've been staying at people's houses though a website called Couch Surfing projet, it's absolutely awesome way to meet locals, stay at their place and have a "cultural exchange."  It's such a great concept, and our couchsurfers in Alice Springs and Darwin have been seriously good times, good times:)  Check out the website sometime, it's www.couchsurfing.com    I will tell more about our adventures when i get the pic's uploaded and have a little more time.  I'm going to Bali tomorrow!!!  I am a little melancholy today - sad to leave such good friends, but i'll meet back up with Caro in Thailand in July!! and moving on to Bali means moving to the next phase of my "solo" adventure, which will be truly truly solo.  I feel much more capable after my roadtrip, and after meeting so many awesome people wherever i go, and realizing that i am never alone - it's so easy to be connected to people if i want to, and so many of the friends i've made keep coming back up along the way as i travel on.  And I know I carry so many of you in my thoughts, that is proving enough to feel so very un-alone and so very loved when i need it most.
And after that - to meet up with Heath, my sweet boy!!!  I must admit i'm jealous of the moped adventure, but SO HOT THAT MY MAN HAS WHEELS!  I hope he picks me up on his moped and rides me off into the Bali sunset:) What a new and wonderful dynamic to add to our trip, re-uniting after something like this and sharing our adventures.  I just have so much love for that man:)
More pic's soon i promise!
Love,
Ings
P.S. Tim your Aussie stunt double lives in Darwin!

Epic!
Just epic girl. I can see you growing before our eyes. Every step we take in life draws us closer to who we want to be and your a taking leaps! Keep this up and you aren't going to get a wink of sleep in KL cause Chris and I are gonna keep you two talking all night and all day! I have to admit I was surprised when I heard about you and H separating so quickly in your journey. But as soon as I thought about it, it made perfect sense. And I can see how awesome this is gonna be for you and your man when you get back together again. Wild Monkey loving sans poo throwing. ;) It's great to hear from you. see ya soon! 3 weeks!! woot! Oh btw not sure what your clothing regimen has been but my mom and dad said it is best to wear conservative shorts, no short shorts, and sleeved shirts no midriffs etc. I will forward you the email so you guys are in the know if you want.

Love, dc

Leavn' my bootie shorts at home!
Ah Dev!! i can't tell you how much growing's goin awn:) It really made sense to us to do it now, when we were still in western countries, where there isn't a massive cultural difference, and we and didn't have to worry so much about safety and getting around and a language barrier, so our focus could be more on ourselves. And it was just time for me. And you're right on about the monkey lovin, LOOKOUT BALI!
Thanks for forwarding on the info from your Mum about Malaysian dress. So you mean I have to check my daisy dukes at the border and give up my fishnet wife beater? so rude:)
Countdown 20 days Dev!!!

Hi Ing
Hey Ingrid! I've been checking out your traveling adventures and I'm finally posting a comment. I wanted to send some San Francisco love your way (no, not that kind - ya know XOXO!) And wanted to say 'You go girl!' I'm proud of what you're doing! You are so going to look back on this trip and have a million memories. I'm sure there are ups and downs - it's not all easy livin' on the go! But you hang in there for the downs, and I know you are thoroughly enjoying the ups!! Best of luck on the next leg of your journey...and I'll be keeping tabs! Viva la Hilivin!
