Back in my college days going up to Corky's lake house was somewhat of a tradition. Bass Lake is located right smack in the middle of California and was used at the back drop for the movie The Great Outdoors (anyone remember John Candy) After visiting Corky and Michelle in San Diego, we all decided to try and meet up a couple weeks later in Bass Lake.
Normally we would spend our time at the lake on Corky's boats, waterskiing, wakeboarding and cruising around the lake having fun in the sun. However, this time it rained the entire weekend! Between the down pours and the eternal mechanical issues of Corkdogs boat we were still able to get one boat ride where we jetted across the lake to have lunch in the Pines. One night after going to the only bar in town we came back to the house and pig-piled the rest of the crew that did not make it out.
Despite the rain and the non functioning boat we still were able to make the stereo to work
Once again I will end this entry the way I end many, it was great weekend to catch up with Corky, Michelle, Meme and Poxy (their dogs) and Kitchens (and Brian and Heather)! Oh yeah and Corky got his truck wrapped in Tailgate party mate advertisements. His invention will make him rich! Check out.....................www.tailgate-partymate.com

The Gang
. Combine the will to party with warm clothing and some oars we were able have a floating party barge. The weather will not stop us! As you can see from the picture we even went swimming. Chelise was able to make this trip and it was great to catch up with Sharon (Corkys mom, who I have not seen since college). Drunken catchphrase and Pictionary were also main staples of the weekend. (Chelise would like to add that Sharon cut her a fringe. The first one she's had since that disasterous fluff ball atop her head when she was a youngster. 'Never again' she cried - till now)Once again I will end this entry the way I end many, it was great weekend to catch up with Corky, Michelle, Meme and Poxy (their dogs) and Kitchens (and Brian and Heather)!
