This little Island is about 10 miles of the coast of Cancun. Once again it was beautifull beach with blue water, scorching heat and white sand. I hung out with 2 Aussie guys while I was here who were total piss heads which happens to be right up my alley. The first day we met they rented a scooter and crashed it into a police car. Normally this would be a terrible mistake because the Mexican police are famous for extortion but in this case the police just looked at the small dent he made and drove away! When he returned the scooter the shop wanted 150 for the small dent in the scooter. As he was gearing up for a bit of fight he realized that they wanted a 150 Pecos! So he payed the 15 U.S dollars and got out! That night this same Aussie guy got so drunk that he fell out his his bunk bed and busted his chin wide open. His hostel mates but him back in bed and the next morning he had to get 8 stitches. Never a dull moment with these two guys! The only thing he was bummed about was that he could not drank for 8 days because of the antibiotics he was on
The rest of my time here I played Backgammon against two Israeli doctors that were doing there residences in Israel. So in a way they were kinda like Gray´s Anatomy Israeli version. They then told me that no one is even half that hot at their hospital. The best part of th story is that I beat Israeli doctors at Backgammon! ( a fact that I brought up often to them) The rest of my time here I ended up just playing volleyball and reading.... oh yeah and getting attacked my multitudes of bed bugs! Which by the way makes mosquito bite feel like a tickle. I had so many bites on my elbow and arm that it swelled up and felt like I was covered in miniature tumors. Then they attacked my waist and destryed it.. The bites itch for over a week and are huge red welts. I was concerned for a bit because every day I was getting more and more bites, since I have never had bed bugs before I did not except them to be so painfully and swollen. Finally they went away and 2 weeks later I still have fading red dots all over me!
a) ship wreck on my way to Isla Mujers
. This lasted for 2 days because I convinced him that he only needed to take his antibiotics if he did get an infection. I know because when I cracked my head in the Philippines the doctor told me the same thing. The rest of my time here I played Backgammon against two Israeli doctors that were doing there residences in Israel.
