All season long there had been talk of going to our friends beach house after the ski season ended.  Since I was going to travel overland Mexico anyways it was going to work out perfectly to start my trip at this beach house.   In total 17 people from Big Sky Montana drove all the way down to Baja Mexico to small little beach town between Rosartio and Encianitas. Dave, Pat (my Big Sky roommate) and Amy from Garmish all were there too!  I caught a ride from Vegas to San Diego with some friends headed to sea world where another friend picked me up and dropped me off in old town SD to catch the trolley  to the border. From there I just caught a bus to the town of  Los Mission.
Since I did not know where the house was I ended up walking 3 miles the wrong way (into town) before finally I got ahold of them from a pay phone!  On my little adventure I cut across some some hills and impaled my legs on one of those plants that looks like an giant aloe plant with long black spikes on the end.  The spike went into the muscle belly of my leg and left my leg covered in blood since I had to keep walking!  By the time I met up with every one it looked as though I had been attacked.
The beach house was sweet,  It was located right on the ocean with a hot tub on the deck and every amenity under the sun!  Everyone had pitched in for food and booze so we ate and drank like kings! The house came with 3 sea kayaks a bunch of surf boards and wetsuits to fit every size!  From the time I got there we were constantly playing either, frisbee golf, donkey balls, catch phrase or backgammon:  Some of the highlights were beach olympics with the crew of  17.  Kickball, crab soccer, red rover, backwards 100 meter dash and general drinking games were all part of fun.
I had been planning on traveling Mexico overland but after looking at how expensive and generally lame Mexico was, I decided to catch a ride back to San Diego and fly to Cancun.  From Cancun I could take a bus and be in Belize in day plus I would get to see Chelise and San Diego friends again!
The pictures of my 5 day stint in San Diego are in the last massive photo entry by Chelise.
Finally, I thought I would wait to put up this entry until I had all the pictures together, well that day will never come because I just lost my one gig memory card that was loaded with pictures that I have not backed up, so this entry sadly is pictureless until I get some from Dave.  By that time no one will care!
