We didn't realise it at the time, but because Bali is so small we were only a couple of hours away from what is hailed as the best diving in Bali and some even say Indonesia. We jumped at the chance to dive there and as no one really cared about us proving our diving levels we could all go together despite the fact that the honeymooners were open and Ben & I are advanced. We drove 1.5 hours to a boat which took another hour to the Island. Each time we dive the way we enter the water is different. Today we anchored next to the Island, jumped ship and put on our gear in the water as it was so shallow. We went down 25 metres next to a wall and the visibility was amazing. It was the dive we'd been waiting for for 4 months. 2 Sharks, barracuda, giant moray eel, trumpetfish and millions of other kinds of fish. Our dive master didn't seem to care where we were as long as he could see us. I tried to chase the shark, but it got too dark and too cold about 2 seconds later. It was amazing. On our 2nd dive I requested that we go to 30 mtrs as I wanted to feel 'narked' - a condition during which you feel drunk or euphoric at around 28 mtrs or more. It was okayed, but then it never happened so I asked if we could go back down for 1 minute just to get narked. He said, "Yes, but I am not going with you" we couldn't believe it so Ben, Corky and I swam back down to 32-35 mtrs where the boys reported really having to suck hard to get any air. None of us felt it unfortunately. That night we ate pizza & pasta with some Bintang Beer with the full moon shining brightly down on us.
